You can admire a romantic monument, at the corner of Kirov Street and Prospekt Mira (Peace Avenue), more precisely on the arbor-rotunda with the statue of the Russian poet Alexander Pushkin, reading poetry to his wife, Natalia Goncharova.

Despite the many inconsistencies with historical realities, the Monument to Pushkin and Goncharova symbolizes the value of love, loyalty and happy marriage bonds. Krasnoyarsk residents love the monument. Newlyweds and couples like to walk there and take pictures. Pushkin’s and Goncharova’s noses are grated to shine: there is a city legend that you will be granted your wish if you make it and touch their noses!
