The unusual Park of Love, Family and Fidelity in Astrakhan is laid out near the Transfiguration Church. The soul of the park is the sculpture of Peter and Fevronia, the Orthodox patrons of family. You can get to it by three streets of Faith, Hope and Love. There are wide stones on each road, with good wishes and quotes from the Scriptures. These tips are believed to help those who want to create a good family. They will also prompt how to preserve love and fidelity in marriage.
The Transfiguration Church has a longer history. At the end of the XVIII century Cossack troops settled in Astrakhan. Residents of the Cossack village had filed a request for the erection of their church for many years. Finally, a wooden Transfiguration Church appeared here in 1865, and 30 years later a beautiful stone church in Old Russian style with a two-tiered bell tower and a wonderful interior decoration was built on its site. In the early 1990s, the church was transferred to the Nikolo-Ugreshsky Monastery.
