The New Experimental Theater appeared in Volgograd in 1989. For nearly 30 years, incredible things have been seen on the stage of Volgograd’s former Drama Theater. Theatre critics haven’t still voiced a common opinion about what the team of Otar Dzhangisherashvili does on the stage but performances of the NET leave no one indifferent, as it is quite a new, experimental look at the theater.
The performances of the New Experimental Theatre are incredibly popular both in Volgograd and in the world. The theatre has toured the US and Europe, the theater actors are winners of many international awards and competitions. Works by Gogol and Shakespeare, Molière and Ostrowski, classics and the underground were put in it and always with a great success.
