The Museum «Tomsk Beer» is open at the same name factory. The history of brewing began in Tomsk in 1877. The first factory was built in the center of the city by Karl Kruger, a brewer from Prussia. Later the factory was moved to the Moskovsky Trakt. The Krugers family owned the enterprise till the beginning of the twentieth century. After the revolution it was nationalized, its name was changed, but not the quality of the products. The Tomsk Beer Factory still works on imported raw materials, which guarantee high quality of beer.
In 2004 the factory opened a small museum «Tomsk Beer». Here one can find the history of the enterprise in a few windows. Here are collected labels and dishes, authentic documents and old photos telling about the people who worked at the plant. Near the brewhouse there is an exposition, the objects of which did not find room inside. The factory itself can be visited with an excursion; one can go through the shops and see the entire process of producing a popular beverage.
