A small two-story house-museum of the Russian writer Mikhail Prishvin in the village of Dunino, which is 30 km far from Zvenigorod, was founded by the writer’s wife at the place of his dacha (summer house). Mikhail Mikhailovich lived here every year from spring till late autumn. The house keeps the personal belongings of the writer. After visiting the house-museum, there is a charming feeling of the idyll of the village life.
The house-museum of Prishvin stands on a hillock, from which neighboring houses and the avenue of limes are visible. The house has two bedrooms and a living room with an oven for two rooms. A simple and comfortable environment characterizes the ascetic lifestyle of the writer. Here visitors will learn that there were three main hobbies in the life of the writer Prishvin: photography, hunting and a car that has survived to our days in the garage of the summer house. The summer house itself has recently been restored, the exhibits are in excellent condition: a library, a piano, furniture, personal belongings of the writer, among which the greatest attention is attracted to the huge hunting boots of the writer. Concerts and open-air literary readings are held here in summer. Standing on the balcony of the house of Prishvin one can listen for hours to the most interesting stories of the guide.
