was opened on Victory Square of Saransk in 1995. It is a part of the Saransk memorial complex of military glory. The architecture of the building repeats the outlines of the borders of Mordovia, and the turret in the center looks like a kokoshnik - a local folk headdress. Go there if you want to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Second World War and see what the museums looked like in Soviet period of time.
Despite the fact that the museum was opened when the Soviet Union no longer existed, it completely inherited the spirit of the museums of the 70s. The exposition of the Memorial Museum of Military and Labor Feat of 1941-1945 includes over 50 thousand items: photographs, personal belongings and weapons of soldiers and officers, front-line letters as well as paintings and sculptural compositions dedicated to the war. Tanks and an anti-aircraft installation were set on the site near the museum.
