There is a well-preserved fire tower on the Romanov side of Tutaev on the Lenin Square — the former Bazarnaya (Market) and then Spasskaya. The fire tower in the form of a truncated pyramid 25 meters high and has four floors, three of them are stone, and the fourth is wooden. It was built in 1912 and for more than 100 years is the tallest building on the left bank.
On the Market Square there are also Stroganov warehouses, built in the beginning of the XVIII century for the storage of salt. Earlier there was a Spasskaya church of the XVIII century here, disassembled in the 30s. A small monument to Lenin was later installed on its place. Despite the changes, the square still retains the appearance of the beginning of the 20th century, which is now a rarity for the ancient Russian cities.
