In the late XIX century Lopatinsky Garden earned the title of one of the best public gardens in Russia, and in 1912 it was visited by Emperor Nicholas II himself. Today the Central Park of the city has attractions, a cafe, a pond with a beautiful "bridge of sighs" and a boat station. In winter, there is a skating rink in the garden and Vyazma gingerbreads, sold in the souvenir shops.
