Ethnographic Park of History of River Chusovaya: the Life of Peasants in the XIX Century

The Ethnographic Park of History of River Chusovaya is a unique open-air complex, which is reminiscent of how the peasants lived in Perm at the turn of the 20th century. The park is located in the town of Chusovoy, 120 km away from Perm. Here you can find original peasant huts, a mill, a pottery and a blacksmith's shop, a tavern and other interesting buildings.

A small wooden Church of the Holy Transfiguration, brought by the park founder L. Postnikov from the Ural village of Yanidor, is the pride of the Ethnographic Park of History of River Chusovaya. There is also an exposition here dedicated to the exploration of Siberia by Yermak, as well as a collection of Russian accordions and a Memorial Hall in honor of the Russian writer Viktor Astafyev who lived in these places. It is noteworthy that the museum exhibits can be touched: you can sit on the bench in the house, as well as touch the antique samovar and flat bowls. Here you can make yourself at home and concurrently achieve a total effect of immersion into the XIX century. What counts most is to treat the ancient and unique things with due care.
