The sky-blue church with the golden domes of the Nativity of the Virgin was built in the XIX century. Unfortunately, in the middle of the last century a cinema was located there, and the cathedral was partially destroyed and rebuilt. A 53-meter high bell tower, wall paintings and ornaments appeared recently after the reconstruction of the cathedral.
Now the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin is the main Orthodox church of Ufa, an important spiritual and educational center and a Christian visiting card of the city. The cathedral has a children's Sunday school, a volunteer center for helping the needy and a social Orthodox service. There are many icons with parts of the relics of the Russian saints in the cathedral, and here the stream of pilgrims from all over the Urals does not run low.
