«Breaching of the Leningrad Blockade» Museum Preserve is located just a 40-minute drive from Shlisselburg. This is a large memorial complex, which includes many monuments and important historical places in memory of the Great Patriotic War. In particular, the complex includes «Sinyavskiye Heights», Shlisselburg (Oreshek) Fortress, which protected the Road of Life, and the Road of Life itself, the heroic «Nevsky Bridge-head» and much more.
Several expositions are simultaneously opened in the «Breaching of the Leningrad Blockade» Museum Preserve, the centerpiece of which is the diorama «Operation Iskra». This huge canvas recalls of the great battle for Leningrad in January 1943 and the breaching of the city blockade. The open-air exposition displays the tanks that took part in the battles for Leningrad. Some of them were raised from the bottom of the Neva. Here you can also see artillery and armored vehicles.
