The Amur River Embankment stretching from the Kalinina Street to the Lane St. Innokenty was landscaped in 2012: here they laid a tile, made flower beds, built a rotunda and installed benches and lanterns. At present they are building a new territory on the bank of the Amur River, where they plan to build a residential complex, an aquapark, a park with attractions and a beach. There will also be a stop of a cable car that will connect Blagoveshchensk and the Chinese city Heihe, the view of which opens from the embankment.
One of the most popular sculptures on the Amur River Embankment is a bronze monument to a dog named Druzhok. It is known that during the strongest flood in Blagoveshchensk in 2013 one dog remained to guard the house which his masters left. The dog got into the news releases, and the Russian TV First Channel and the newspaper "Amurskaya Pravda" initiated the installing of a monument to the dog in the city.
