The Green Citadel is a huge house in the center of Magdeburg, built in 2005, designed by Austrian avant-garde architect Hundertwasser. It houses a kindergarten, theater, hotel, and, actually, apartments. The lucky ones who live here can enjoy a positive, which radiates at the pink building with irregular windows. The house got its name because of the large number of green spaces, which it is covered from top to bottom. Especially impressive are the trees on the roof. However, the courtyard with greenery and trees in tubs will surprise few people in Europe, but it adds to the rural charm. The Green Citadel is Magdeburg’s main claim to fame, along with the cathedral.
