Reutlingen’s main church,Marienkirche, is located in the city’s historic center, at Market Square (Marktplatz). This temple, built at the turn of the XIII and XIV centuries, was quite badlydamaged by fire in 1726 and underwent a major restoration in the neo-Gothicstyle in the late XIX century and early XX century. The amazing interiors, stained glass and gothic ribbed ceiling survived inside. In the late 80's a neworgan was installed in the church and now there are concerts of sacred music everyautumn.
Another local attraction - the Tanners’ and Dyers’Fountain (Gerber-und-Farberbrunnen, 1920) -is a short distance from theMarienkirche. Miniature figurines of Reutlingen’s artisans at work are fitted atits edges.
