A residential complex that does not have two similar windows or straight walls but has a lake in the yard was presented to Darmstadt by Austrian Hundertwasser. The complex is the realization of his idea of accommodation harmoniously blending into nature. There are 105 apartments of completely different planning on 12 floors of the multicoloured spiral house with “swimming” lines, with trees growing out of their windows. The building is decorated with a golden dome (“Memory of Russia”) and colourful tiles in the artist’s style. There is a café on the rooftop surrounded by maples and beeches, open not only for the residents.
