Parks and recreation

Rhododendron-Park is the largest park of rhododendrons in German. In total there are more than 1600 species of flowers! The best time to visit the park would be late spring or early summer. The park is located north-east of Bremen city center. It was founded in 1933 on the site of one of the oldest suburban homesteads.

In 2003 сenter of study and popularization of nature – by the way, the largest in the country – was opened in the Rhododendron-Park. In addition, there is a café and a restaurant in the park. The park borders the city botanical garden, which also deserves a visit.
