The Railway Museum is located in thehistoric train shed, which was founded in 1893 to serve the Royal StateRailways of Württemberg. Over 80 exhibits are on display both in the shed andin an open-air. These include the restored locomotives and railroad cars thatwere in operation from 1895 to 1950.
Inaddition, the museum collection includes dozens of locomotives, diesellocomotives, steam engines. The atmosphere of the station of the beginning ofthe XX century is recreated at the shed with the smell of smoke and hot oil. Excitingexcursions are organized for visitors and they are offered jaunts on 100-year-oldretro locomotives or trailer cars.
