The Old Town Hall was built in the 15thcentury. Its building resembles a gingerbread house. Not only city authoritieswere seated here, but also trade rows, tax body and even a hall for town ballswere located in the building. And in the part of the town hall where thecouncil was located, death penalties had been announced from the window forsome time. The renaissance façade of the town hall with a tower was onlycreated at the end of the 16th century. Astronomical clockdecorating the tower is the oldest functioning clock of wrought iron in Germany.Today there is a registration bureau in the town hall. You can only get insideand see the astrolabe mounted here in 2011 with an excursion.
