"Millennium Tower" in Elbauen Park is an unusual place. It was built in 1999 and named in honor of the memorable date – the year of 2000. It is almost the world’s highest wooden tower! The tower also stands out with its unusual construction in the form of a cone. There is a lot of space inside. The exposition dedicated to the history of mankind is on several floors.
All ages that have left a trace in the development of the Earth since the Stone Age and ending with Egypt, Ancient Greece, Rome and modernity are presented in the tower. Many exhibits are interactive, including the tomb of the Egyptian Pharaoh, who loves children. In the "Millennium" Tower you can try to make the same experiments that the famous physicist Otto von Guericke did in the XVII century. In the department on the history of the world until 500 AD one can also admire the Foucault pendulum in addition to illustrations on daily life and discoveries made by scientists.
