Lower Sorbian Museum in the former Dominican monasterychurch of the XIII century covers the history of the Lower Lustia region of Brandenburgand its people - the Sorbs. The basis of the exhibition is the interactiveexhibition called "Luckau - Gates of Lower Lusatia. Human. Culture.Nature". There is a diorama here depicting a forest, and you can see thereconstruction of the city house. Luckau’s material, social and cultural wealth-coins, products of local artisans, exhibits dedicated to prominent people ofthe city -are also kept at the museum.
There is also amention about Napoleon Bonaparte in the Lower Sorbian Museum: he spent a nightthere during a military campaign in 1813. The night was cold, and the Emperorhad to put a special copper heater in his bed. The heater is on display at themuseum. In 1747-2005, there was a prison in this church, and a separateexhibition covers this topic.
