Kettwiger Strasse is the main shopping street in Essen. The shops of main malls in Germany, hotels, restaurants are located here. It begins at the city’s main station and ends at the Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian. The main street in Essen is a walking street like in other German cities. Transport was removed from it in the fifties of the last century, during the post-war reconstruction of the city.
