The chief debunker of capitalism Karl Marx was born in Trier in 1818. The house in Bruckenstrasse 10, where Karl lived until the majority age, is now a museum. Although no personal belongings of Marx have been preserved here, the museum is still interesting. It has a good many rooms with expositions dedicated to different periods of his life and work. Also, lectures and seminars are held here on the topics touched on by Marx. Visitors are greeted by curious exhibits. A beautiful garden is arranged in the courtyard.
