House Landegge, located north of Haren in Lower Saxony, was built in theXII century. It has often changed owners during its existence, and not all ofthem treated it with due respect. The castle finally collapsed, and only amanor house - Haus Landegge, built in 1695, has survived. This is a fairlylarge, tidy and ivied Baroque building, looking like a palace. Once it was ahaven for hunters. Its owners, who loved to hunt, stayed here. They had theright to hunt in these places, as well as catch fish in nearby rivers and ponds.
Today, any traveler canstop in the House Landegge, enjoy the tranquility, walk on the reserved placesand try to learn horse riding. Luckily, there are all the facilities here, inparticular, an equestrian center where coaches will gladly help the beginners.You can just arrive from Haren to look at the beautiful house and scenicsurroundings, and then come back in the evening.
