Hohenlimburg Castle on the mountain is one of the best preserved in Westphalia. It was built in the XIII century by Count Dietrich von Isenburg, who moved his residence here. Subsequently, the castle was owned by the descendants of the Count, Archbishop of Cologne, while today, although it is still in private ownership, it houses an exhibition dedicated to the life of the princes of the past centuries, as well as an industrial museum, where you can see ancient typewriters, a toy railway and other steel products. The castle has a terrace with a baroque garden and restaurant -a very popular place for weddings.
