Composer Johannes Brahms and painter Gustave Courbet loved walking near the Geroldsau Waterfall in the suburbs of Baden-Baden. You can get there on foot by a tourist road from the Wannacker car park. The area around the falls is marked with hiking trails.
The Grobbach Valley is worth a visit not only for the not so high waterfall but also for the picturesque rocks. In May, rhododendrons bloom there. The small bridge over the stream just in front of a waterfall offers the best views. And the idyllic pastures with Highland cows will appear in the sight of those who dive into this romantic valley.
