In the vicinity of Fuldayou can see the Fasanerie Castle, a magnificent creation of the localarchitectural genius Johann Dientzenhofer. This residence in Hesse Baroquestyle was built in 1710 in place of the medieval fortress Adolfseck. Princes vonBuseck used to live here, and later, when these lands were confiscated in favorof Prussia, Elector Friedrich Wilhelm settled there.
