In the vicinity of Fuldayou can see the Fasanerie Castle, a magnificent creation of the localarchitectural genius Johann Dientzenhofer. This residence in Hesse Baroquestyle was built in 1710 in place of the medieval fortress Adolfseck. Princes vonBuseck used to live here, and later, when these lands were confiscated in favorof Prussia, Elector Friedrich Wilhelm settled there.

Luxurious receptions,which used to gather the local nobility, have become history of Fulda. The castleseems to be intended to illustrate a good living and unerring taste. Visitorscan see beautifully furnished rooms, an elegant garden with a Japanese teahouse and original landscape design of Carl Linnaeus. The castle regularlyhosts exquisite events - exhibitions, parties, classical music concerts.
