The collection of the private Falkenstein Puppet Museumhas been collected over 30 years and includes more than 300 puppets and 60puppet houses, with toy kitchens and shops. Based on the outfits and hairstylesof the puppets, including boy-puppets, the houses’ setting, you can judge aboutEuropean culture, fashion, beauty ideals and way of life of the period from theXVIII century to the 1950s. Most puppets belonged to girls from wealthyfamilies, so the setting in their houses is luxurious, with porcelain toyutensils and furniture made of precious wood. The exhibition is added by thegallery of children's portraits of the XIX-XX centuries.
