Electricity and Life Museum is a story about the history of electricity and its role in daily life. It was opened in a former electrical substation in December, 2000. All the processes here are illustrated using real electric units in miniature. You can see how the powerful mini-turbines, mini-steam engine and even a mini-hydropower plant work. The museum exposition is extremely interactive.
Visitors can manage the processes of electric current themselves using different installations. Of particular interest is the collection of electric vehicles. There is a tram released in 1916 and old trolleys at the museum. In 2009, the hall of electric vehicles was established, whose collection is constantly updated.
