Directions

The City Park is both a park and a zoo, and an area for the wine festival. At the beginning of the XVIII century Prince-Elector established a summer residence here with a baroque park, which was replaced by an English garden. Now there are beautiful lawns here, decorated with Baroque sculptures of mythological figures, enclosures, which house 200 animals of 20 species, a rose garden, flower clock at the entrance and a great view of the merger of the Main and Rhine. In late summer, the park becomes one of the areas for the wine festival Mainz Wine Market.
