Directions

In the Medieval Ages the fortress of Burg manytimes and rather successfully defended Esslingen from raids of foes. Today itis a fashionable concert and a magnificent observation pad. From the height ofmedieval fortification walls breathtaking views of the city and vineyards openfor you. In summer, concerts are conducted here, including some of the worldstars, such as Animals. The Fat Tower (Dicker Turm) is preserved in greatstate. It was constructed in the 15th century after the fall of thefortress. There is a restaurant there. In order to climb to the top of thefortress you have to go up 300 steps.
