Kiel’s botanical garden belongs to the Christian Albrecht University that provided 8 hectares for the collection. Plants from all climatic zones of the planet are collected in the conservatory and outdoors. Here you can take a walk in the North American and Mediterranean forests, alpine stone garden and Chinese grove, see dunes, cacti, orchids and other exotic flowers. Besides, here you can learn how coffee, cocoa or tea grow. The garden is divided into ecological and geographical zones. In summer, the exposition is supplemented with an art exhibition.
