Bismarck tower offers one of the best panoramic views of the Rhine valley and Wuppertal. It was erected in 1907 at the expense of residents. The Germans appreciated the celebrated first German chancellor Otto von Bismarck so much and wanted to emphasize the greatness of their country in the period when this politician reigned. From the outset it was decided that it would be both a memorial to the Chancellor and an observation deck. After all, it was built on a hill on the north bank of the river Wupper. The tower's height is 22 meters. Climbing upstairs is completely free.
