"Autostadt" is one of the most attended theme parks in Europe. The museum and park complex, located next to the Volkswagen headquarters, offers two car showrooms in twenty-storied towers, pavilions of all brands within the automotive concern, tracks for children where they can try out mini-electric cars, a museum and tourist attractions. First, there was a modest residential building surrounded by water. It was erected by the von Bartensleben family. A wolf was depicted on the family's coat of arms - hence the name of the place.
The "House of Time» (Zeithaus) museum, organized within the frames of the "Autostadt", exhibits all the models of historical significance, for example, the Beetle cabriolet, produced in the year the plant was opened. Automobiles of other brands which are considered icons of design are also displayed: the sensation of the 1920s - Bugatti 35, a sports car of the 1930s - BMW 328, the first German pontoon limousine Borgward Hansa 1500. Moreover, you can touch all these masterpieces of the motor industry and make photos inside them.
Seven pavilions of the concern brands - Volkswagen, Porsche, Bentley and Bugatti, Škoda, Lamborghini, Audi, SEAT can also be perceived as museums. Each of them has a unique look and feel. For example, the Lamborghini pavilion looks like a black cube, topped with gold Lamborghini Murciélago. Inside the pavilions there are "hits" of brands and entertainment for visitors, for example, iPad race or the Porsche Cayenne engine in section.
Since the "Autostadt" is adjacent to the Volkswagen factory, you can see the automobile manufacture process, riding in the plant by a road-train. In the park, you can also take car test-driving, renew the lost driving skills, and children can get acquainted with the basics of driving.
