Victory Park on Poklonnaya Gora is one of the world's largest memorial parks dedicated to the victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The memorial complex was opened on May 9, 1995 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the great victory.
In the Victory Park on Poklonnaya Gora there is the famous Victory Monument - the highest in Russia obelisk in the form of a trihedral bayonet with a height of 141.8 meters. Totally, there are 13 memorials in the park including temples of three religious denominations, the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War as well as an open-air exhibition of military equipment. One can see 15 spectacular fountains in the Victory Park in summer and the world's largest flower clock with a diameter of 10 meters. In winter the largest ice hill in Moscow is opened on Poklonnaya Gora. It is surrounded by impressive sculptures of ice, the sidehills themselves are decorated with neon lights, and one can climb from the root of the hill to its top with a help of a special lift.
