Alexandrovsky Passage and its original facade
The eclectic building of the Alexandrovsky Passage of the 19th century is considered to be one of the most curious sights of Kazan. Despite the fact that the interior decoration of this complex was completely lost, and the building itself is under restoration, tourists are constantly coming to the building on Kremlyovskaya Street.
The people are attracted by the Alexandrovsky Passage because of an unusually beautiful and original façade in an eclectic style. The main dome of the arcade with the roof-lantern is complemented by niches with a clock, the entrance is decorated with figures of caryatids, and the whole facade is richly decorated with stucco ornaments. It is expected that after the restoration in the Alexandrovsky Passage will be turned into a hotel.
