The Evangelical Church in the village of Vockerode, which became part of Oranienbaum-Wörlitz, is another work by the creator of thelandscape kingdom of Prince Leopold III.
There was achapel on the site in the XVI century and a new church was consecrated there in1812, the construction of which was fully paid for by Leopold III. This is a Neo-Gothicbrick church with tall lancet windows and two towers. It is decorated with theprincely coat of arms above the door and an organ of the early twentiethcentury. The church is the most beautiful example of the Neo-Gothic style, created during the reign of and with the participation of Leopold III.
