If you like an unusual museums, do not miss the opportunity to visit the SchweineMuseum - the world's largest museum of pigs. The idea to establish the museum in 1988 belongs to Erika Vilgelmer, who over the years have been collecting different varieties of pigs.
Ironically, a few years ago, the museum moved to the building of the former slaughterhouse in Stuttgart. Within its walls 50 thousand exhibits are kept! In the museum you can find out everything about the role of pigs in the history, mythology, culture and, of course, the culinary traditions of different countries. Of course, this is not the Louvre and the Hermitage Museum, but on the other hand, it is fun and unusual. Great place to catch your breath between the "big" museums!
