Directions

The bright spot between Gruben and Spitalvorstadt neighbourhood, the castle with orange walls used to be the customs office where taxes from the salt trade were received. Today Mautnerschloss houses Jazzkeller legendary jazz club, which regularly hosts concerts and where stars shine at the International Jazz Week in Burghausen.

The building was built on the edge of the city in the XVI century. In 1912 it was rebuilt a little, and in 1977 was restored. Besides the jazz club, the municipal training center is also here now.
