Contemporary art in the form of numerous installations is located in the halls of a former brewery.

Dortmund Museum of Modern Art is located in a former brewery Union. Hence, the large letter U crowns the tower building. Citizens of Dortmund for short call the building and the museum, which is located inside, "U".

The museum represents a new concept of interactive displays. On them visitors can see works of art of XX and XXI century. Newest exhibits present themselves not only like paintings in the conventional sense but also like interactive installations. It can fully demonstrate the unity of culture and technologies. On the seventh floor of the museum there is a restaurant with a panoramic view of the city.
