Prediger is a former Dominicanmonastery in Schwäbisch Gmünd, founded in 1294, which existed until thebeginning of the XIX century. In 1876, a museum- one of the oldest inBaden-Württemberg –opened in it. The offerings of local manufacturers form thebasis of its exposition.-> 

More than 13thousand objects of art, including jewelry, are on display in Prediger inaddition to exhibits covering the town history. In the former convent you cansee paintings by Albrecht Durer, George Strobel, Hans Green Baldung- a nativeof Schwäbisch Gmünd, engravings of the XIX century, and medieval books. In1973, the monastery with the museum turned into a cultural center, and at theend of the twentieth century a modern art gallery opened there.
