Jewelry craft has been the main business forPforzheim during its whole history. And the local jewelry museum is the world'sonly museum of its kind devoted to jewelry and stones-, gold- and silver-processingcraft. The exhibition features two thousand earrings, brooches, rings and otherjewelry, from antiquity to the present day, made both by local craftsmen,jewelers and those from other countries of Europe, the Middle East and evenOceania.

Thereis a separate collection of local-made pocket watches by manufacturer PhillipWeber, ethnic jewelry, 1200 rings from Persia, Asia Minor and the Ancient Egypt- rings, amulets worn on weddings, funerals. Here you can buy jewelry and takea five-day course on the basics of jewelry and learn to make them.
