The Historical Museum in the so-called Fisherman’s House (today it is called Hintermeierhaus) is on the Island of Ried. It is from here that the future town began to develop and grow. Since 1932, the building has housed a museum exposition. It tells about the lives of fishermen and farmers; their working tools and clothes are kept in it.
The exhibition also includes the household items of richer families, the things of Biedermeier period, portraits of ladies in costumes, and expensive ornamentals. After visiting the museum you will get a true picture of the lives of people on Ried Island in the XII century.
