The District Office Building is a tower of red brick, topped by a dome. It just looks old because it was built in the early twentiethcentury by the local civil servants and by the architect himself. Initially ithoused the police department, and then the district office. There is a clock onthe tower, installed on the picture of painter Hellmuth Eichrodt from Karlsruhedepicting celestial bodies and zodiac signs. The paintings by the same painter, reminiscent of medieval frescoes- restored in the postwar period- are on the othertwo sides of the tower, at the level of the clock.
